Its time to start a wish List for this year 2105.
1. I would like to see a dynamic Weather utility. CFO is a great program. But you have to to make the Weather changes manually. It would be nice if it did it automaticaly.
2. More dynamic Campaigns from both sides and not just from the Allied side.
3. Better resolution of Cities.

2105 is tooooo long for me to wait. But for 2005 here is what I wish for CFS2.
1] MS would run some more copies and re-release CFS2. Very very difficult to find and thus, not many new players on the ZONE. You can still find CFS1 fairly easily out there, hence it still has a fair crowd on the ZONE.
2] MS, or a talented programmer would develop a "Punk Buster" for those that just have to use whatever means to win, rather than learn and fly honorably.
3] For all those that left CFS2 for IL2, Pacific Fighter and other games to realize that CFS2 STILL is one of the best combat flight sims out there and STILL has plenty of potential.
4] Those that do find a stray copy of the game out there, to go ahead and buy it and forget about the thought, "AH, it's outdated." *** With all the addon acft., scenery, utilities, textures and so on, this game can really be made to shine and look good.

8. We also neen search lights. So we can build night missions. If they developed them for CFS1 we can develope one for CFS2. Its a essencial element for the immersion of night missions.
Been done... Check the Outhouse

6. Sceneries for WW11 and Korea.
Korea has already been done. Check out Steve McClellands's FarEast scenery also included with the Fox Four Korea campaigns. I'm not sure what you mean by WW11 scenery as CFS2 is a WWII sim.

One of things that makes CFS2 such a great Simulator is its flexability. It allows you to create missions and campaigns all over the world. Its the only Simulator that give that ability. Another is that you can can fly in other periods in History.
You can fly from WWI To Korea . I believe thats very cool. You probably could fly in the Vietnham era as well. But the Sim does not support Modern Radar air to air missles. That would cut the realism of flying in that era.
Now we need WW1 scenery to increase our immersing effect when creating mission for that era.
I will not be the only one who will enjoy it. I will appreciate it.
Thank you James007
If you like to build mission and campaigns for WW1 . Here are some good Websites:
1.
http://www.aer.ip3.co.uk/cfs2_9.htm2.
http://www.domicilium.com/peveril/hangar/hangar.htmThis same Website has many planes and missions available as well.
Other Website with nice WW1 goodies are.

I haven't seen the thread at SoH but I believe that MW's active searchlight macros for CFS1 also work in CFS2. It's not difficult to place them in the scenery with FSSC.
It allows you to create missions and campaigns all over the world. Its the only Simulator that give that ability. Another is that you can can fly in other periods in History.
I like CFS2 as much as you but this is also possible in CFS1. I'm not sure about CFS3.

The surface is only starting to be scratched as to what CFS3 can do. There's already a Korean campaign at the out-house and there's a mediterranian campaign in the making. Basically, I wouldn't be suprised if CFS3's life was longer than CFS2's.

Hangar you might bee right . CFS1 was and still is a very nice WW2 flight Simulator. I still fly it once in while. Let me tell you something out of the box when new CFS1 was in many ways better than CFS2.
While CFS2 had better graphics and planes model. It was missing all that important immersing factor. If it wasn!t for the MB and you guys the developers in this Websites this Simulator would have dead a long time ago.
I still like to fly BoB in CFS1. I believe its one of the most immersing campaigns in the Simulator World.
I love the AI in CFS1. I mean the enemy AI. Especially the Germans. They seem always to fight in cordination to each other. So you always have to watch your six.
The shorcomings of CFS1 is what killed it.
I have never been able to figure out the mission editor. It is way too complex and Iam sure Iam not the only one.
Youre inability to give or recieve command or comunicate with the other members of your squadron was a another big Shortcoming. Now Hangar show me or teach me how can I create missions all over he World in CFS1. Is it by adding World sceneries or does it a have a World map like CFS2 has.
I will appreciate it very much. I like to learn from others.

CFS1 has its own generic scenery for areas outside the default theatre but it's not too accurate. Some missions used FS98 default scenery which is easy enough to import providing you have FS98. There is also 3rd party mesh scenery for some areas but some, like Mauro Giacomazzi's North Africa, seems to have disappeared. We used Bill Potvin's Korea scenery for our CFS1 Korea campaigns. This is still available, either included with the campaigns or on Bill's site..
http://www.cfsops.com/Scenery/Scenery.htmI believe this was the first proper mesh scenery created for CFS1. He also did the Hawaiian Islands but I haven't tried it. Bill has done a great deal for the CFS community over the years but unfortunately never seems to get the credit he deserves.

Does any one know what happen to the Search lights been developed by a member of SOH?.
It would a great addition to this Simulator.
We also desperately need a Italian, Russian and English and perhaps a French Language packs. I am sorry I forgot, we also need a German Laguage pack as well.
Thank you James007
