Hey guys I've noticed on ocassion that some planes won't start in a mission using "E" ie: Yak 3 won't start in a mission (don't remember which one right now) but will start in free flight. Any ideas why?

Thanks
Ron

Hi Ron,
Think it's just timing out on the E key auto start, either hit e 4 times(ending with engine starting displayed) or GASP- start it Manually, shift +2 keys & set mixture, switch on mags -hold down start button until it catches, it's just one of those things.

There's usually a reasonable explanation for these little "bugs". Does this happen in missions with ground or air starts - or both? It's possible these problem aircraft were originally created for FS2000 without the extra CFS2 engine Air file entries.

3 solutions:

1. Don't leave the engine a while before starting it; the battery will literaly run flat.

2. Turn on Unlimited Fuel. Go to Settings>Realism and tick the box.

3. With my converted stock P-39 I have to start in the air, on the ground I can't start the engine for some unknown reason. So start in the air!

Please reply on this subject if I've helped you :)
