Elevator trim problem

I have an elevator trim problem with ALL of my CFS2 aircraft.
Just a single keystroke, no matter how fast will change the trim drastically and I'm unable to get 'em lined up level.

These same aircraft wok ok in FS2k2 so I really suspect the CDS2 engine and not the config. - but I could be wrong.

Is this a generic problem with a fix, or do I just , have to live with it ?

Thanks,

I don't know if you have solved your problem by now...
but, it sounds like something is wrong with the basic program files and an uninstall and fresh install is in order---unless you have solved this some other way already...

The elevator control in CFS2 (and indeed in CFS1) is a very twitchy and doesn't seem to bear much resemblance to the way it works in real aircraft - not in the few I've flown anyway.

The excessive sensitivity could be due to the repeat that you have set on the trim controls. With full repeat on, holding down your nose up elevator trim control will loop your aircraft! Best to remove the repeat and try tentative little tippy-taps... ;)

Adjusting throttle and propellor pitch helps too - I find if very difficult to trim out an aircraft going at full pelt, much easier at cruise settings.

I also use a simple autopilot to establish proper balanced straight and level flight at times. Once the AP has trimmed you out you can turn it off and the aircraft should remain in trim until stick input takes it out again.

I've never noticed the elevator being particularly twitchy in CFS2 or indeed CFS1. I imagine this would depend on the type of joystick & the sensitivity settings in the sim.
