Hi VILIC. Uninstalling CFS2 removes all CFG files from the Aircraft directory. That's right - ALL CFG files. If you don't believe me look in the folder of any that no longer show up for a CFG file. I'm afraid this will make addon aircraft that were installed before you uninstalled CFS2 useless. Unless you backed them up this means that you will have to install them all again.

Please read my CFS2 FAQ page. http://www.simviation.com/lair/cfs2faq.htm

HELLO AND THANK YOU FOR REPLYING.  I READ YOUR FAQ CFS2 AFTER THIS WAS DONE. NOW WHAT I HAVE DONE (PLEASE TREAT THIS AS A NEW QUESTION) IS COPPIED ALL AIRCRAFTS FROM MY CFS1 (CORRECT CFS1) TO AIRCRAFT DIRCT. IN CFS2.  LET ME EXPLAIN WHY I AM DOING THIS.  THERE ARE CERTAIN PLANES THAT I WOULD LIKE THEM TO HAVE (LIKE P51 OF DIFFERENT SKINS) AND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND A GOOD ORIGINAL THAT WOULD NOT UPSET ONE THING OR ANOTHER IN MY COMPUTER.  AND I FIND DEFAULT PLANES BY MICROSOFT ARE PRETY ACCEPTABLE BOTH BY MY OTHER PROGRAMS AND COMPUTER. SO THEREFORE WHAT I WANT TO DO IS LOAD THE PLANES FROM MS CFS1 AND FIND TEXTURES FROM THE WEB TO CHANGE THE SKIN, HOPFULY.  NOW MY NEW PROBLEM IS THAT PLANES OF CFS1 WORK ALL RIGHT BUT COCKPIT AND PANELS DO NOT SHOW UP PROPERLY IN CFS2.  ANY INPUT ABOUT THE THIS OR THE WHOLE IDEA OF WHAT I AM DOING.
THANK YOU AGAIN;
VILIC.

OK. If I remember correctly the CFS1 default aircraft do not display properly in CFS2. You might be better off with the specially converted ones. CFS2 Allied & Axis Europe Expansion packs here. http://www.simviation.com/cfs2aircraft1.htm

The panel & sound will probably be aliased to the CFS2 defaults. If you paste the appropriate Panel & Sound folders from the CFS1 defaults into them I see no reason why they wouldn't work. I've never tried it myself but I assume that CFS1 repaints for these aircraft would also work in CFS2.
