100 Aircraft Limit...any work-arounds?

:( Okay, I have finally finished downloading every possible free-ware CFS2 aircraft that I could find.  But now I have to store most of them in a "hanger" file.  I WANT TO HAVE ACCESS TO THEM ALL.  Any help out there?

The best way I've found is a duplicate install of CFS2. Rename the root directory folder to any other name. Then insert the CD & install in the usual way. You can have several installs if you wish. CFS2 Pacific, CFS2 Europe, CFS2 Korea etc. etc. They will all run independently.

I was afraid that was answer I would get.  I was hoping for something like a hex-editor routine, but c'est la sim.  Thanks for the input.

CFS2 is the only M$ sim I know of that has an aircraft limit. I suspect this is caused by the integral MB. This is only a theory but if you can find some way of installing it without the MB it might fix the problem.

Didn't somebody create a utility to swap the Aircraft in and out of the Aircraft folder, sort of like a Virtual Hanger?

There are various Hangar Manager utilities. MW's AcMan is one of the best. This would still involve moving aircraft in & out of the Aircraft folder. You can do this easily enough manually.

I really don't see the need for all those aircraft anyway. I doubt you will ever use half of them. ;)

I only have about 10 or 15 add-on aircraft in the aircraft folder. I don't see the point installing to the max, like you said, you probably won't use all of them ;D

Taggar1967 it is relative easy to install more than 800 -planes in CFS2.. Just read my post on the secound page called How to improve your experiece on CFS2. There I gave a easy explanation an how to use more than 800 airplanes thruogh multiples of Hanagrs. Their is a program on MW that allow you to change  Hangars with ease. Just read that post and maybe that will help you. If you have any question please come back I will try to help you. Enjoy
Tip then you can make different Hangars for different Theaters of war. If that is not fun a do not know what fun is through this Hobby.

Another way to do it is a thing called Easy Multi-Install (On page 1 of CFS2 Utilities, I believe). It fixes it so you don't need the whole 800mb install for every theater. It uses an MS-DOS program (actually there are six, each for a different theater) to swap the files for each theater. (You'll have to d/l it and see for your self. Its hard to describe) The only problem is that the instructions are written in poor english so it may be hard to understand. (Took me a week to figure it out, lol)

Will

PS: I wish there was a way to just hex-edit something to fix the a/c limit too.

It's still there. It's in the Beta Programs section, called AcMan.
