OK, I give up.

Namely in my futile attempts to find CFS2 anywhere in Finland, even as used. I used to have it, then sold it to a mate when buying Il-2 and now I've got itch, no:rash, to get it again. So, pretty please, if anyone would have an extra copy or (for some odd reason) wants to get rid off his game, I'm more than willing to bargain, err, pay money for it. Real money, guys! Woohoo! I'm sure we can negotiate about methods of payment. Nothing kinky, though >:(
No but seriously- this is getting a bit obsessive business, so help a fellow pilot if you can.
Thx

   Tom-boy,

Can you get Amazon.com where you are? you
might try ordering it from them. It's going to be
tough finding someone willing to part with CFS2.

Wish I could use Amazon, since they have nine used CFS2s but they say they cannot ship it over here. Just my luck- so close but so far away ::) Heh, this is getting borderline absurd but that's life, eh?

Amazon is an international company. Maybe one of their other sites could help. Just an idea. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/stores/static/-/welcome/international-gateway/ref=cs_nav_sn_1/026-2775486-6652463

I'd completely forgotten about that . Good thing you reminded about it ;) But still no dice. It's available in two locations but they won't ship because their payment policies: I trust only cold, hard cash, not plastic. Well, I'm sure eventually a copy turns out somewhere that I can get so all that is needed is patience. However, my offer still stands: wanna become rich ::) quickly? Let's do business ;D

Have you thought of trying ebay?

I use it all the time for flight sim related stuff (sticks, etc.) and recently bought a brand new version of FS2004 for a bargain price from the US.

Success! With a help of my mate, today I finally managed to place an order at Amazon UK :D Hot diggity! Now it's just a matter of figuring out gow to place further oders. Don't carry plastic (conscientious objector in this) and drawing and mailing a check is enourmously expensive and time consuming. But hey, thx for help (big nod to Hagar for Amazon pointer)! Effective immediately, my offer to buy CFS2 is now off ;)

Glad you got fixed up. There is usually a way. ;)

Don't carry plastic (conscientious objector in this) and drawing and mailing a check is enourmously expensive and time consuming.

I once thought like you. Sometimes it's easier to go with the flow & plastic is considerably more convenient than messing around with cheques. I've had a credit card for many years now & it hasn't cost me a penny. In fact it's saved me money. I wouldn't be without it now. It depends on how you use it & manage your finances.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who's had/still does have suspicions about credit cards. But in my case it actually does boil down to managing finances. I have a regular job but there are periods when there's very little  or no work, followed by spouts of very busy times indeed. This makes balancing your economy a bit tricky and I don't definitely want a biggish bill during 'dry season' , after having paid rent, phone etc. Being able to pay when you actually do have cash is much easier and safer. These days it's all too easy to get a mark to your credit records. Just have to grin and bear until the situation eventually sorts itself out, like with a direct payment to recipients account via web bank.

Two suggestions:

1. What about ebay?  You may have to wait awhile to find one there, but it may turn up.  Ebay sellers often offer payment options other than just plastic.

2.  Do you have debit cards there?  You can use it like a credit card to from a checking account.

Aye, I've been thinking about it. They have more payment options and the debit card method sure is handy. A lot cheaper, too. My UK Amazon CFS2 was something like 14 Euros (can't remember for sure now) + VAT etc., but there you can get the same stuff with 1/4 of that, even less. Of course, it's also a tad riskier in using eBay but you just have to be more careful who're dealing with. Still, a valid option.
