CFS2 on new laptop

Postby a20driver » Thu May 06, 2004 12:00 pm

Hi Guys! This is my first help for advice....Have a new Toshiba P25 S670 (nice wide screen 17") laptop......loaded CFS2.....using Sidewinder Force Feedback2....System-XP Media Center...Flying P-38....cannot get elevator trim to work!!!Everything else OK......Followed MS instructions but no help....Uninstalled and reinstalled CFS and Sidewinder, again ,still the same problem'!!!!....Instructions call for numbers from numerical pad which the laptop doesn't have...Have been trying keyboard numbers(1 and 7).....Think trouble may be that the laptop does not have a number pad....Will welcome any help....a20driver

Hi a20driver. You can assign/reassign all key functions from CFS2/Settings. It's also possible to assign the trim to spare buttons on your Sidewinder if you wish. These might be assigned to various functions by default.

I recall a similar problem, my M$ FF stick is a USB, my machine had Sidewinder version 3.1 software installed, the USB stick uses a higher version (4 I think) I'd check to see if you have any different driverr disks for your stick, hope this helps, it sorted me out....  ::)
