Possible Conflict with Latest NV Drivers

Postby congo » Fri Apr 30, 2004 11:32 am

I installed some nVidia graphics card drivers recently, 56.xx and 60.72.

My CFS2 game has been opening in a weird resolution that only shows the top left portion of the game screen, not allowing me to select anything at all really.

Strange thing is that I had the game running fine with the new drivers for a while, and I saw the problem as intermittent at first, but then it was persistant.

I tried all sorts of things to fix the problem, (the usual and plenty more!) all to no avail.

I went back to the NV53.06 driver and all is well it seems.

I have an AMD 2600+ CPU on an nForce2 chipset, a GF4TI4200 video card and plenty of ram, disk space etc.

Anyone else experiencing something similar or seen this glitch before?

Hi congo...!
I don't know what Windows version you are running, but on my Win '98 SE setup, same video card as yours, the most reliable drivers I have found from nVidia are 45.23.
A bit old
