CFS2 Is there a patch to prevent ending of mission

I appreciate all of the contributers to these forums.
I just found this site and wanted to join because I am beginning to get into CFS 1,2 and 3.
I have been flying CFS2 lately and found it very frustrating to have the program cut off when it says your mission is over. I still want to continue flying and shoot down the enemy but the computer won't let me.
So I wondered if anyone has come up with a patch to prevent this from happening,
Thanks
Wilder

Welcome to Forum, Wilder

The Campaigns shouldn't just end, you need to press X at the end for them to end. I think in the training missions, once you complete the required goal/s the mission will automatically end. I don't think there is a fix for this though.

Yeah, those few "aces" missions that come shipped with CFS2 can be quite annoying, huh?
If you want to fly these without auto-ending you'd have to open them in the mission builder and redo triggers and events, namely just remove the event "end mission".
I don't think that anybody ever made a so tweaked update publically available.
There is help though, just check this site for many many fine user made mission addons which usually don't use this "auto-end" thing.

hi wilder, yes there is a mission pack that does just this, if its the Aces missions youre refering to ,thought it was on simviation but its not you'll have to go to (wisper it!) www.netwings.org/library/CFS2_Missions/index-4.html & you want Aces Missions, Fix about halfway down the page it wont change the original aces so you'll still be able to do those as well. :o

Wow you guys are the greatest!!
Thanks so much StratoBat, Mathias and Happ_Hazard!
I really appreciate all your comments and suggestions
This is really cool seeing how you can make your own
missions and even build your own aircraft and play
them in CFS
I just hope as I go on I will be able to give something back to this forum.
