Thanks Ivan. I have a few aircraft I can test this out on. I've downloaded your utility & will report back later, most likely tomorrow. ;)

Sorry to report that I've had no luck so far. This is due to my unfamiliarity with DOS & not understanding the instructions properly.

Maybe you can tell me where I'm going wrong. I extracted the utility to a folder on my Desktop. I pasted a copy of the MDL file I wish to convert into this folder. From the MS DOS prompt I used the sample command for conversion from FS2002 to CFS2. The utility runs but cannot find the MDL file.

Hagar, does your command look anything like this?

C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\mdlc_b13\Mdlc.exe /c UFO.mdl

I have the utility in a folder on the desktop for the moment (until I figure out if I need or want it). I select "Run" and have this in the window and it carries out the command. Converted my UFO model from FS2002 to CFS 2.

Thanks Fox. I see I missed an important part of the command line. I'll check it out using your example command. I'm sure it will fix my problem. ;)

Here's my first attempt. The Aeroplane Heaven FS2002 Seafire in CFS2. The Aircraft.cfg will need a small tweak to fix the gear animation but apart from that it works fine. The canopy is a tad cloudy but I can put up with that. There might be other options I can try to fix it. I think this will be a very useful piece of kit. Thanks Ivan. ;)

Hi All,

1.DONT use "MDLC /c *.MDL f", the lastest letter "f", will make the MDLC converter FORCE use the CFS2 stock MDL file header,
unfurtunely there is some bugs in this function.

2.Modify to to readme.txt...

F.How to modify gear Animation Table
1.If the gear don't animate with correct position in CFS2/ FS2002, Try "MDLC /f *.MDL".
2.Copy, Paste and Rename the *.MDM to your FS\Aircraft\aircraft_name\model folder.
