Engineer2,

Has far as I know, there is no way of having the bluish exhaust flames show up after the engine kicks in. It's just the nature of how the infrastructure CFS 2 is set up. The flames will always be there. Maybe in CFS 4 this situation might be handled that would allow flames to show up when the engine starts.

The reason I brought this up was because I downloaded a P-40 (I thik it from Steve Gandy) that has the afffect in the way I described, only with an orange flame.

I've tried to contact him but keep getting the "Delivery failure" notice.

The P-40 is th Peaarl Harbor listed under the CFS2 downloads.

Clearly there is a way to do it...but I get the feeling I'm being ignored by those who might know, iether that or I've stumped the panel.

Appreciate your response though.

Yes I love that P-40. The effect on his plane is, I believe, a lighting effect, with a simple engine-on trigger. Not hard to do in a modelling program really. If you are GOOD with smoke effects you could design your own and make mini flames from the engine exausts. Would take less than an hour to do, and would look incredible, provided you have a decent computer system to run it on.
