Hello gents:
recently i keep getting this message when i try to load a gmax aircraft:
failed to startup the flight model "name of the plane".
Fact is i re-installed the whole thing and it went ok, then i installed another plane and it came again, but it only says that, after you click on it the model appears and it work. Thisis not a stock plane.
any comments?
best regards

Prowler. My first thought is that you exceeded the CFS2 aircraft limit.
Copied from my CFS2 FAQ page.
[quote]Q I keep getting error messages when I either try to load free flight or mission editor. The problem usually is solved by trying again in freeflight, and the thing loads right. I'm probably going to have to reinstall.

Hagar:
I got 37 planes, justcounted them. actually once this message apppears  and i click ok and the plane loads it never comes back again, just once. When i reinstalled it and put this aircraft, nothing happened, then i installed another aircraft and there it appeared.

37 aircraft is well under the limit so back to the drawing board. ???
Maybe you can take a shot of the error message & post it here.
If this only happens with certain aircraft I need more details so I can check them out myself. No big files as my limit is 10Mb these days. The file names & page numbers where they're posted would be a big help. If they work OK after the first time maybe it's not worth bothering with.

Did i mention that this happens just once? only once then nothing but the plane works.

Yes I get the picture. LOL
I have no idea what would cause this. As I said before, if it works OK afterwards it might not be worth worrying about. I'll be pleased to investigate further if you're more specific on the problem aircraft. Not that this would prove anything. All systems are different, not to mention the CFS2 installation, & it might work fine for me.
