I could use some help with a campaign

Postby camshaft » Sun Nov 23, 2003 8:54 am

Hello all.       I've just got hold of some information to build a good historical campaign. I have aquired a copy of the 26 + 3 kill ace Neville Duke's war diary with all of his missions described in detail. A good historical campaign set in England, North Africa and Italy. I want it to be as authentic as possible, but I need to find a few aircraft (as high quality as possible, preferably with a good virtual cockpit) in his markings. (Spitfire V (92 squadron Biggin Hill 1941), P40 Tomahawk IIB (112 squadron Western Desert), P40 Kittyhawk I (112 squadron Western Desert), Spitfire V (92 squadron Western Desert) and Spitfire IX (92 squadron Tunisia)). (I have his Spitfire VIII). I know it's quite a lot to find, which is why I'm writing this, but if I can, I want to make it as authentic and good quality as possible. I have all of the relevent information on the aircraft markings etc and I want to do the guy justice (he lives only a few miles away from where I live).
Any help and/or suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Camshaft. If I had the time I would be delighted to help as a tribute to my hero. Unfortunately I'm fully committed right now. Finding the aircraft will be difficult enough without them being in particular markings. I suspect a little repainting is in order if you can get permission.

You might check out the AVG P-40B posted in the CFS2 section. Also Joe Amodea's P-40E Schuftie included with the RAAF Expansion Pack. There are a lot of repaints of this one. http://www.simviation.com/cfs2aircraft57.htm
I believe these are both SCASM edited FSDS1 models.

Paul Rebuffat does the best quality CFS2 Spitfires. I don't think he did a Mk V. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/index.php?loc=downloads&page=downloadsbak&FileUploadName=Paul%20Rebuffat

Hope this is some help. Good luck. ;)
