frame rates help plz

i have pretty good frame rates flying "wonderwoman"cockpit clouds ,fog etc. turned off,all the posted tweeks.i get frame rates in mid 20's great.
but with virtual cockpit low teens and stutter.
how do u raise frame rates
compaq 2.4 intel
nvida geforce 4 mx440(i indtalled)
504 ram(installed 256)
window xp
1st machine i've owned so bear with me
ops i guess it still apllied but i meant this for cfs3 sorry
