Memories of Pearl

Postby Major_Tom » Sat Oct 25, 2003 1:26 pm

I just loaded the The Pearl Harbor Project v 1.0 by Vladimir "SaQson" Kochmarsky & company an it is not loading the mission because it cannot find the  Sha_California model file & an airport file. I've fixed this problem in the past but I cannot remember how to do it  ???. Any frequent fliers out there know how?

Thank you all !

Tom. I have no knowledge of this campaign/mission. It's possible you need to download some elements separately. Read the instructions carefully & make sure you have all the files. Look in the CFS2\SHIPS folder for a folder named Sha_California. The airport file might be associated with scenery although this would not usually cause an error message. If it's there, make sure it's installed properly. CFS2 ships are configured in the same way as aircraft with the usual Model, Panel, Sound & Texture subfolders. If it's not there you didn't install it.

If you can't figure it out & the file is posted at SimV, tell me exactly where to download it & I'll check it out myself.

Thanks for your quick response Hagar. I think it was Simviation but I just remembered  :(it might be a CFS1 mission. In the info.txt file the authors email is there (Any questions please send to sjd20@qwest.net). I just though someone on the forum might know. The problem entails renaming one of the battleship files. I tried to create the california using the tennessee (same class) and renaming the file like I have done many times with aircraft but no luck before I posted my original message.

Thanks,

Major Tom

Tom. If it's looking for a SHA_xxxxx folder it must be a CFS2 mission. CFS1 does not feature ships. I seem to remember this problem cropping up before but I no longer have the files. if I knew where to download it I'm sure I could figure it out.
