Auto pilot?

How do you set/use the autopilot in CFS2? I mapped some keys to the autopilot commands (in the CONTROL ASSIGNMENTS), but it does not seem to work.
And how can I tell that the autopilot is on? Does it work with all stock airplanes, or just modified, or vice versa?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi kleaner.
You can do the key mapping but the easiest way is to download a panel with the things you need. Like auto pilot. There are many to be found. I have made several and have them at my site. These "Nav. Panels" for CFS2 have an Auto pilot, GPS gauges and other things that you need for CFS2. Give them a look. They all include good install instructions if you follow them correctly.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try out a couple of those panels. I figured out how to map my keys to the autopilot so that help, but without the panels, its difficult to tell if the autopilot is engaged (and what aspects of it are).

If you care about realisim, I'm not sure if you should be using autopilot, because in WWII they didn't have it. :)
