Question about airbase.dat

Postby David27 » Fri Aug 22, 2003 2:33 pm

Hello,
I have some questions:
What does the airbases.dat file in the info folder do exactly ?

After the installation of the "Far East" scenery no further entry of a runway which belongs
to the "Far East"-scenery was made.
But I can use the runway in the CFS2-Programm but not in the "Mission Builder".
How is CFS2 getting the information about it's runways ?

Can I define a runway about the airbase.dat file or are there other files in which this information is stored ?
In the "Far East"  folder are several text - files: japanAFD.txt,MalaysiaAFD.txt.

In these files are the name, position  and somewhat called dimensions.
For what are these files ?

Thank you for your answers.

David. My basic tute might be just what you're looking for.

The Hunters campaign by Fox Four includes the FarEast scenery. The airbases.dat file included with the campaign has entries for some Korean airfields.
