Unable to group like objects

 ??? I've followed the CFS2 instructions for grouping objects, thereby only having to create a path for the lead  objects, but everytime I try to save, I get a message for each of the other objects.  It tells me basically that each individual one has to have its own path.  Any one else have this problem?..and how did you (if you did) get it corrected?
