Next CFS

General discussion for CFS2 - WW 2 Pacific Theater

Next CFS

Postby WillR05 » Sat Jul 12, 2003 12:47 pm

I wasn't quite sure where to put this but here goes anyway. What would you like to see in the next CFS? When and where would you like it to be set?

I'd like CFS4 to be post 1945 with British, American, Soviet and French Aircraft. Included could be Naval and land camapaigns, and Aircraft from Korea to the present day. That a lot to ask though. What do you guys want?

I'd still like to go back to the Pacific, start from the beginning and more nationalitys and air forces, not just the USN and IJN.

I'd like Korea too (strange coming from me ;). What I mean is that I'd like the next CFS to handle Jets properly. My REAL wish is to have Vietnam and to have support for guided missiles  ;D

Oh and mani81, keep your eyes on the Fox Four site.  ;)

I've only just had time to have a go at the Korean Campaign although I downloaded it a few weeks ago; I think it's good although I have a nasty habit of crashing into other aircraft.

As for the next CFS I'd really like to see 1945 - 2003. You could have campaigns for Korea, Malaya, Suez, Borneo, Vietnam, the Falklands and both gulf wars. There are probably many other events in that period that you could build a campaign on. Imagine a sim with 40 different campaigns, 120 different aircraft and fighting for 10 different nations.

A modern world sim could have so many different options; one campaign could be flying U2 spy missions, another flying a Wessex helicopter of HMS Bulwark during the Indonesian confrontation. This would be a huge undertaking and is therefore unlikely to happen but if it perhaps something similar might emerge.

What I'm specifically looking for is a set of campaigns for the Fleet Air Arm, I'd love to be catapulted of an accurate Ark Royal in a Phantom FG.1. I'd also like to fly Wessex helicopter as a plane guard and have to pick downed pilots out of the water.
