CFS2 Stock repaints

Greetings.. I was hoping to find the answer (that I want to hear..lol) to a question I have. While surfing the net a while back, I stumbled upon a site that gave a tutorial on how to change the stock textures from a 1 bmp file to 2, so that when a plane is repainted, the image is not mirrored. I emphatically thank anyone in advance that can tell me that I'm not nuts and that I have, in fact, seen this. Thanks a million!! E-mail if you like, or just simply reply here. :)
