Postby RAAF453_Goose » Sat Mar 01, 2003 9:41 am

Yesterday i posted a message telling the CFS2 population that it isn't working for some reason.I followed some of the replies and still it doesn't work.I have wrote down the error messages that pop up in the screen just before the main menu screen. When the red sunset screen with the zeros pop up two messages come on saying "Unable to create cache directory'Cache' ".When i click O.K another one pops up saying "Unable to create default cache directory 'Cache' "...It will not let me play....at all. :( >:(
Please help me....i'm in a dire situation.

Goose. I think the cache directory referred to in the error messages is your virtual memory in WinXP. As I don't have XP I can't tell you how to fix it. You might get more response if you post this with full details of the problem in the Hardware forum. For example, did you do a fresh  install or upgrade from a previous OS?
I know XP is not strictly hardware.

Crikey !!!  I started getting random errors and crashes. Then I found the WinXP Program Compatibility Wizard.

In Windows XP/Start/Help & Support

 Fixing a problem
  Games sound & video problems
Getting older programs to run on Windows XP
      Program Compatibility Wizard

Select Combat Flight Simulator 2 and it does the rest for you.
