will CFS2 run on windows 10

My old HP computer running Windows Vista just died. I LOVE CFS2 and have many add-ons.
What can I do to get it running again. My current "new" machine runs Windows 10. CFS2 will not load.
Help!

Right click on the cfs2.exe in the installed CFS2 folder, go to compatibilities and choose "run this program in WindowsXP"-mode. But have you installed CFS2 in Windows10 as administrator?

I think I tried that but (pardon my ignorance) how does one do that. I am the main operator - but not sure about administrator.
I appreciate your advice and I'll give it another shot.
