Prop texture problem for B24 Guy's Avenger

Postby Bub » Tue Nov 30, 2010 10:22 pm

Hi All,
I'm in the process of finishing up the companion Avenger to go with the FM-2 Wildcat Atlantic and found a small problem with the prop texure.  The front of the prop looks normal, but the rear is gray.  I tried putting in the prop_us_blade texture and renaming it in various forms to match other B24 Guy's aircraft, Hellcat, Wildcat, etc. to no avail.  His OH Corsair does the same.  Is there a fix for this or is it one of those little glitches we have to live with.  Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bub

As I suspect you already know, that gray disk means that the texture for the backside of the prop disk is either missing, or it hasn't been mapped.  :-/

Fixed It

TR, your post set off the light bulb and I figured out what was wrong.  I changed the prop texture to one, I thought looked better, and in doing so eliminated the back texture.  Put the old one back in and, Viola, all is right with the world.  Thanks for triggering the proper brain cells.
