Joystick..

Postby Steve M » Wed Feb 04, 2009 6:33 pm

I just picked up CFS 2 and I am just checking it out. Can anyone suggest a good profile for my joystick. (noted below) This Saitek stick has 8 toggles for mode A, and 8 toggles for mode B. Or perhaps there is an existing thread you could direct me to.
Thanks in advance.

I can't help with the profile but you might not be aware you can use the familiar FS key commands in CFS2. This makes it much easier if you're also using FS. CFS2 will use the new-fangled Combat keyboard by default but this can be changed. Check out the CFS2 FAQ page at my Lair.

There's a few profiles posted at the Saitek website. You might find something there. http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/profiles_joystick.htm
Bear in mind that CFS2 is getting on now. You might be able to modify one for CFS3 or FSX.

Thanks for the Quick reply, Hagar. That helps me out and gets me started. Side note: I chose CFS 2, because I have read so many good things about it.

CFS2 is still my favourite of all the MS sims. When you get used to it you might also like to check out a few of the advanced commands we posted at the Fox Four site. http://www.simviation.com/lair/cfs2kwfaq2.htm

I recommend for you to read this post from page one to the last of this post http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 1117604819 .
