The Spitfire, just about the only people who didn't really play with them were the Japanese (mind you a couple of their pilots tried them whilst in Germany)

USA: Northrop P-61 Black Widow nightfighter.

UK: De Havilland Mosquito NF2 (Night Fighter), painted black and markings in the British night paint scheme

Russian: Dang, haven't gotten around to flying one, so I'll post again when I fly one I like

Japan: For some reason I love the Mitsubishi G4M2.

German: The Messerschmitt Bf-110G4/R3 with Schr

They did re-engine one Spitfire with a Daimler Benz lump which was the Schmittfire. All the others were crash landed models which they used for testing/demonstation purposes once they'd been patched up.

If there is one modeller I rate above all others for CFS2 planes it is Paul Rebuffat. His Spitfires are a delight, his 109s impressive and his Li-2 is unique. One of my CFS2 modelling heros!
