Rudder works on ground, not in air. What gives?

HI Everybody,

Like it said in the subject I can not get my rudder to have any effect on the A/C while it is in the air.  When I am taxiing it works very well.The external views show the rudder working. But interestingly enough, only on downloaded A/C.

What am I doing wrong?

Tim. Do you have a joystick with a separate rudder control? If so the auto-rudder option should be disabled from CFS2 Settings. Otherwise the ailerons & rudder will be connected.

I have mine disabled but when using the rudder in flight it (the aircraft) goes into a side-slip dive (for lack of a better term). It makes the performance of a barrel roll next to impossible. :-/

Is there something I might be doing wrong or something I'm not setting correctly?

I'm using the Saitek X-45...in case that's an issue.

Engineer. I used to have a Saitek X-36 combo which I believe is similar to the X-45. It took a while to set it up to my satisfaction. You might like to try adjusting the sensitvity of the rudder axis from CFS2 settings.

You are correct about the X-36 too. Although the X-45 is much easier and more flexable.
