AdBlock pop up

Postby BROGY » Sun Jan 14, 2018 12:52 pm

Every time a launch the Simviation website I get a pop up window mentioning that I have to add this site to the whitelist of AdBlock.
Problem is that I haven't AdBlock installed on my PC and that this message only appears in Mozilla Firefox 57.0.4.
Searched the registry of my Windows 10 64 bit - nothing was found.
What must I do ?

Don't know if this is any worth to you but I struggled with the same thing on IE 11. Till I found out that I needed to goto "View -- Toolbars " where I found the "Status bar" unticked. I ticked it to be on,
after which the adblock logo appeared in the right hand bottom corner. From there I could get to the whitelist and made an exemption for Simviation.
(Must be honest, for a long while I thought my PC was corrupted..)
Not sure if you have a similar problem maybe?

Thanks for your advice.
I don't have any problems with IE11 only with Mozilla Firefox.
I am going to contact Mozilla for my problem

I have used "Adblock Plus" for as long as I can remember in Firefox, and it works like a charm!

It is on my Firefox Tools Menu < Addons < Adblock Plus.

I just instruct it to either allow or disallow Adverts on selected sites.

My choice.

On Sim V it is marked as; "allowed".

On most other sites Adverts are automatically disallowed!

My problem is that AdBlock isn't installed as an add on in Firefox.
When I install AdBlock, I can't add Simviation to the whitelist.
After removing the add on, I keep getting the pop up

When you look at my post of Jan14, you can see that the Adblock message is written as Adblock and not AdBlock
After logging in with another to Win10-account, I don't get any pop up message while launching the Simviation website.
I think my system has been infected with a malware program because, if I should register myself for the express member login, I shouldn' get the message.
I am afraid that my money wouldn't go to Simviation but to an obscure destination.

I also DID put Simviation on my whitelist, but I have Firefox protection against tracking ON.

So, NO, these "safe Google ads" are not "clean", and I presume it is why Simviation get the feeling Adblock is active.

I don't intent to open tracking - I am feed up with this behaviour.

I have put other sim sites on my whitelist and don't get this blocage.

If Simviation don't intent to change his PopUp, I will cease to visit it.
