Broken links in recommended downloads

Postby Flytracy7 » Fri May 15, 2015 8:39 am

Didn't see this posted here, but might have just over looked it. Seems as of late, I'm clicking, to go to a recommended download, just to not find it anywhere on the page or even close. Anyone else noticing this?

You didn't see it posted here because this isn't the part of the forum to report problems.

Try posting it in - "Site Problems & Broken Links" http://forums.simviation.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=46 ;)

That would happen if a file has been removed from the page but is still in the database. I could probably count on one hand where this has happened over the years and it's usually after some copyright dispute. I leave them in the db because more often than not the dispute is resolved and they are then again displayed on the page. I just clicked about 10 of the recommended and all were there.

Can you give a specific example?

Thanks

Edit - Just clicked another 20 and all were there.

I am not sure what file you saw as listed on the front page so I can't help there. As always if you want a file just use the search box or page

That's because the version is now 2.23 ;) (link above)

We probably still have v2.21 in the db -- but just use the later version - it will be improved
