Simviation Forums

I did a search but didn't get any answers..

I see this on main page below
"Most users ever online was 708 on Mon Mar 04, 2013 1:25 pm"

What did happen at that time?
Was it the upgrade, or did a lot users get mails?

I actually have no idea why that was .

Many of the other FS websites are actually one big forum - if you look at the bottom of any page you may see something like 'powered by vbulletin' - so even the front pages and the files pages are all part of the forum - ...... so when you see people logged in it also includes users on those sites' files pages.

However here at simviation the site and the forums are completely separate. We would often have 1000's of users on the main site, but most main site users are not forum users. They just come to download files and are not interested much beyond that. Why 700 people visited the forums at one time is, I suspect, either a random event or maybe during our server or forums move when news was posted here on the forums and listed on the main site front page ....
