The "current post", in the; "Who is on line" section, at the bottom of the Forum, no longer appears in the new Forum.

Its nice to see the; "newest post details" displayed, to see what is currently active!

Paul.

Those thing are updated periodically -- the front page is every 15 mins I think --

Being live it would slow things down dramatically. So it's a snapshot.

... & does it matter? 8-)

..the reason I mention it, is because it was always present at the bottom of the previous Forums, appearing as the "current post", and being instantly replaced by any new post when sent, and showing the real time that it was sent!

That way is was possible to detect that a particular thread/subject was being responded to, minute by minute, in real time, by two or more active Members on the scene!

I always found it very useful...even for a conversation!... :D ...!

Maybe the programming code for it, is not available in the new Forum program code?

Paul.

Never used it Paul. What I miss is the "View the most recent posts ...." feature of the old YaBB forum where I could read up to 25 of the latest posts/replies with a single click.

However, I have no complaints with this latest format. I now use the "View new posts" feature which lists all the ones I haven't read since my last visit. It's fine once you get used to it.
