Couple of questions

Postby Flying Trucker » Wed Mar 27, 2013 12:39 pm

Goodly afternoon all...

(1) At the bottom of the board is "Delete All Board Cookies"

By clicking on that will I lose my "Password" for Logging IN?

Is it a good idea to delete all board cookies when Logging OUT every time?

(2) Getting E-Mails from Simviation about post notifications.

I have gone to:

-User Control Panel>Overview>Board Preferences

-Clicked NO to the two separate items:
-Notify me on new private messages..............NO
-Pop up window on new private messages.......NO

Hope this will stop E-Mails from coming through.

I still want PMs to come through to the new messages at the top of the forum page between User Control Panel and Members.
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Hi Doug, If you delete all board cookies you'll have to sign in again (only once if you save your sign in), I just gave it a try. If you don't want any Email notifications at all, I think you'll want to tick one more item. Pete posted this in another spot.. viewtopic.php?f=48&t=165549 You need to turn off forum reply notifications.

My usual tip is...

..don't "Log Out"....There's no need to!

I haven't "Logged Out" Sim V since 2002!... ...!

I stay; "Logged In" permanently, on all my favourite Sites!

Hi

Why delete cookies? Just makes more work ...... :)

What you are doing is telliong your PC to forget it ever visited here ---- why do that?

I never have and have never had a problem.

& yes -- the User Control Panel (upper left) is where you can edit of lot of your profile and settings. Takes a little bit of exploring but comes clear soon :)

If you've done it properly that won't happen.

Here again is how to stop getting email notifications --
