i have a suggestion why don't the site owners start a chat service so as to bring the members closer.

We tried it once a while back and it didn't really work.  It used a ton of the system and as a result caused the forum to be extremely slow.  Plus, not that many people were online at once, so not that many were able to chat with each other.

Yup - it was live for a full 4 minutes.  ;D. Everything froze ..

The script we were using was an add-on for yabb (these forums) & a server hog! Never heard of any site that actually uses it & the Yabb folks agree it's a gimmic.

There are in reality more efficient ways to chat on line - & many folk here do it on the various messengers, etc
