Explosion 1.0.1- possibly infected

Postby flight994 » Sun Aug 15, 2004 3:59 am

I downloaded "Explosion 1.0.1" and installed it using the "setup.exe" file and my computer has'nt been the same since. I recieve countless errors and some video graphics are distorted. This file is possible infected somehow. I run Windows XP, perhaps it is an OS problem.  I have removed it via the program manager with no sucess. Please beware!!

Tip: Always scan files with your anti-virus software before opening them! And be sure that your virus definitions are always up to date!

Just checked it out (again) & so far giving no virus or trojan warning. I have scanned it with AVG & McAfee as well as spybot & Zone alarm running in the background. I'm going to run a complete system scan now in the possible event that it managed to bypass the unpacking scan (unlikely) & managed to plant something in a system file - or anywhere. This will take approx 3 hrs (I have a lot of files!)

If I find anything I'll report back. If I don't report anything then my system has passed clean.

We scan ALL files  before making them public.

In 6 years we have only detected one trojan in a file & it was promptly removed.
