question for the mods and my fellow simmers

Postby firemonte007 » Sat Feb 14, 2009 9:04 pm

tonight i picked up the latest issue of "PC Pilot" and noticed that is comes with some free downloads on the CD...My question for the Mods and my fellow simmers is when i would take screen shots of these would they have to go into the payware or the freeware sections? I am confused about this one because of them being freeware from a magizine that you buy :-/

please help clear this up for me so i post shots of these aircraft in the right spots.

thank you to all those who reply

I would think it would be freeware, but I could be wrong.

Freeware... You only bought the magazine, the stuff on the CD is freeware...

...unless you were planning to post screenshots of the magazine!  ;D

Agreed... freeware. You bought the magazine... not the disc that came with it. Post away!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

If the addons that come with the magazine cd are freely available to the public, then they are still freeware.... ;)

The discs on the cover of PC Pilot contain mainly freeware ...and sometimes demo versions of payware.  The "Freeware Frenzy" type files are just that: freeware.

The demo versions are just that: payware.

They go in their respective places.

best,

Saw that issue on the magazine stand, wife wouldn't let me get it though lol oh well.  But in the magazine it definately states FREEWARE.  Very cool of them to bundle it up on a cd for all the readers, I will be getting a subscription to that magazine in the near future!
