Why no download area for FSX missions?

Postby LowFlight » Fri Nov 16, 2007 8:19 pm

(I've searched on this topic, and have found no suggestion that it has been addressed. If it has, or if this is not the appropriate place to bring it up, I apologize.)

Why is there still no section for downloading user built missions for FSX on Simviation??

They're an entirely new class files to be downloaded/uploaded. They simply do not fit in with ground vehicles and sci-fi spaceships in misc, and they don't fit in with scenery either. They're fun, interesting and rewarding to create and share- so why not encourage their development and use here?

To say nothing of a separate forum for developing missions- think how useful it would be to have a community here of mission developers who would be willing to do 'voice acting' for missions other people are developing?

I understand and fully agree with your point! At the moment the Missions go under a separate are called "Adventures" but it is hidden down the bottom of the downloads page. I think that if we had a dedicated Missions (called missions, not  adventures) section under FSX it would encourage development.

It is on the list - near the top.
It took a while before missions were upoladed here for whatever reason.

Anyway there are enough now to merit the section & I will create it imminently
