Editing Posts...

Postby Hai Perso Coyone? » Sun Jan 07, 2007 7:26 am

I found that it is impossible to edit your own topic after some time...I wanted to change some info in my HDD Thread where Mees pointed out that I hadn't mentioned the manufacturer...I wanted to edit the post, but the modify button was inexistant on that very first post...Is there anyway to change this? :-/

Here is the thread in question...I cannot edit the thread I started...

You can't edit your posts after they've been up for 24 hours. I don't know if this can be changed but there are good sides and bad sides to it.

the good being, Doug has to notice his mistakes quickly or we will have evidence forever ;D
The bad being he can still change his posts if he does notice. :( ;D

This set set as a default setting -- like most default settings there is usually a reason for them.... not sure what this is but I may think about it.

Tell me what you want to say (in a copy & paste way) & I will paste in your ammendment.

I have noticed in the past that some people (most of whom have now left) would write something controversial or provocative, and wait for someone to reply before altering their post to make the reply seem harsh.

If you're going to edit mistakes I should imagine that 99% of the time it will be immediately after posting. If you want to add more infomation later then again, most of the time you'd make a new post.
