uploading

Postby Sytse » Fri Mar 10, 2006 5:54 am

I didn't know where to post this, but I thought this was the best place... please move this if it's not.

I've uploaded a file to the simviation library last night and I was wonderering... what happens next? Do I get a message that the file was uploaded and a link to it?

Ozzy's playing with it, trying to see if he can make it crash.  If not, the Dave tries his best.  I then crumple it up... and finally pete, out of desperation, kicks us out of the kitchen before we make a stew out of it, irons it out and finally hangs it out on the (files)  line.

Actually, Pete has to check each file uploaded for correctness, appropriateness (Ozzy once tried to pass off a video he took of a certain part of Pest, but Pete caught it, considered it inappropriate for the general SimV sesibilities and wisely distributed only to Fozzer, who was promptly energized to produce a "Pest in Class" recipe ... ) after which it is finally uploaded.Sometimes Pete goes off a day or two and the uploads aren't....

I felt the Bertha The Big-Boobied Bimbo of Budapest was a highly educational video.... Fozzer enjoyed it! Apparently it took two days for the plasterers to dig his boxers out of the ceiling ;D

What was the file? I was away for the weekend & today was taken over looking after my daughter with a tummy bug.

It could also be that the file didn't upload complete. Often I get corrupt uploads & no way to contact the author.

If we had a system for upoading & auto display the pinheads out there would abuse it massively.

Please just be patient. If it's not up by now it will be soon.

Thanks.

I am, Pete... I know you're doing what you can, and in the mean time you also have to take care of trolls and other pests. I was just wondering if it all went right really...

I uploaded a heat blur tutorial for editting pictures. You think I should try re-upoading? I uploaded it as one .zip file. Should I have "zipped" it?

Thanks.  :)

Hi - I got that - nice tute!!

It's in the pile from the weekend that I'm working through. Should be up tomorrow. Normally that would have been posted in Friday but it's been an exceptional few days. Apologies for the delay & thanks for the tute!  :)
