serious server problem

The latest on the server problem:

Our hosts - pccwbtn.com - have been unable to resolve the problem with our No.2 server (63.217.26.8) yet.

So far they have changed the network card, the router, the & several other things. Re-installed the OS - all to no avail.

If you ask me - it should be a simple task for a server hosting company to provide a server & allow it to work - but there ya go! In my experience web servers & www networks can be very very complex ...

Today I've been told they will provide a new

OK the old server proved terminal so they've given us a new machine - MUCH better (P4- 2.4G, 60G HD & 3G RAM!) but I'm left to set it up!!

I'm desperately trying to find someone who knows how to do this - If anyone does (or knows anyone who knows about Unix server admin) please let me know

At last the new machine is up & running. This machine hosts many of our file categories & will host new developments.

All previously broken links should now work but as always - reports of any broken links or other problems are very much appreciated.  ;)

I'd like to thank the Tom Kiblin at pccwbnt.com & my old pal Alan Wilson at i-edge.com for their 'beyond the call of duty' efforts in helping me (& all of us) resolve this problem.

This upgrade will help the site in a big way & was an essential & long overdue move.

Thanks to everyone (not that many of you will be reading this  ::) ) for your patience  ;)
