Andrew has returned from an extended absence, and he has already mentioned that he doesn't even look at post counts.
Great edit, Bob.

Yeah so he might, but I think he does care. He'd rather be the top poster than Ozzy. Nothing wrong with that, - I'd be the same!

Anyway you said this, - have u changed yr mind?:

We'll see how Andrew feels about suddenly only having 138 posts.  lol  :P

Or did I misinterpret this?

I suppose the high post numbers would indicate to guests, visitors, etc, how popular this Site is... 8)...!

That's three thousand, four hundred and seventy-two posts so far... ;)...!

You did.  Primarily because you overlooked this:

Niiiice.  lol  I say go for it.  It never hurts to level the ol' playing field once in a while.

Well for now I've been persuaded to leave things as they are .... there may indeed be a way to archive the old posts in a compressed format.

There are many valuable postings that go way back & can be found in a search - example Aircraft Design - &  wiping old stuff may be a little like ripping out the first half of a book ...

As always on this site - the feedback is the key to what happens here.

...breathes an enormous sigh of relief... :)...!

I never have much luck, but our old mate, Hagar, has a magic way of instantly retrieving information from postings long, long ago... ;D...!

Cheers all... 8)...!

Bazza err I don't have a sister-in-law, the person I speak of in less than pleasant terms is my sister. The most horrible twisted individual on the planet, oh and a chemistry teacher (proof of her evilness) ;D

My suggestion is that rather than delete what could be valuable information to someone, limit the posts in Photos and screenshots to one or two months tops.  I think that would free up a bunch.

Doesn't he delete the pictures every so often.  I remember he did it a while back in order to free up a bunch of space.

Paul - just get ACDSee - or Irfanview - there is no reason any 800pixel wide image needs to be over 40/80K. You just aren't compressing them (enough)..

It's the lack of care that gets images deleted. Period
