My signature is gone

Postby Webb » Wed Mar 13, 2013 2:20 pm

My signature appears in old posts but not in posts made after the change.

Here is an old post.

Now the image is gone too.

Probably something to do with it being a linked image Jim

I'm now linked to an uploaded .gif.

On this page there is no text and no image.

The older page shows:

Just upload the image to the SimV server Jim and re-do your sig, it should sort itself out

Hi
I tried yesterday, uploaded, within the limits, and no go.
>> what happened?

It was absolutely impossible to make to conversion from Yabb 100% OK as the 2 systems are completely different. It is amazing that it actually happened as well as it did.

Yabb had to go (I was spending hours every week on it and no regular user could have missed the downtime as I kept having to rebuild the corrupt data files) and now we have this new forum - yes some things need fixing. I've just spent an hour fixing links into the old archives ---- tired back :confusion-waiting:

So I do apologise for these inconveniences - like some members having to fix up their profiles, etc --- it's all going to be much better in the long and short run. (It's already 1000x better believe me!)

Thanks for understanding.

Pete, thank you for all your work on the Simv main page and forums! I was just speaking to Marks reply. When I tried to put a sig back, all I got was text.. tried with and without image tags. Please though, I'm not complaining. 8)

Yeah it's wierd isn't it ..... it's like it's given you 2 identities

I'll try a few things tomorrow when it's quieter. These things I need to do kill off all sessions so everyone is forced out .... Best to do that when no-one online (or hardly anyone)
