Yes it is!

Simviation was never conceived as only MS flight sims.

With MS letting us all down with their pulling the all time classic FS series, it is about time we started to spread our wings.

I think X-plane should get a spot similar to flight gear. ;)

Lot's of people use it, yet they have only a few choices to go to for it.

And the nice thing about X-plane & Flight Gear, is that you can use MSFS addons in them, so they are still very relevant to our forums direction.  :)

The decision to open up the board to these otherwise ignored sims really shows our dedication to the Simming community in my opinion. 8-)

Great Job Pete!   [smiley=clapping.gif]

I like this 'thinking forward'. :) If that's the case, how about allowing 'other' flight sim users (X-Plane, Flightgear) to post their shots in the freeware/payware section instead of just being limited to posting in 'The Cage'.

I second that one.

They ARE allowed to post there!!  There isn't anything saying what flight sim is allowed in the freeware or payware.  The cage is just for anything BUT flight sim.

There's a problem with the wording for The Cage then...

Where it says "Non MS FS/CFS" needs to be changed.

Makes it sound like only MSFS is allowed in the normal galleries.

In the original spirit of the Graphic Gallery, it was for ONLY Microsoft Flight Sims.

The cage was where ANY game that is NOT MSFS or CFS goes.

Since we are opening to more FS, we think it would be good for screenshot forums if we allow them in.

Now, the Main site comp would have to stay MSFS as that's what all the prizes are for. ;)

The Judges choice contest has been using the All sims rule for a few months now quite successfully. 8-)

I would still wait for an official blessing though. ;)

Good points guys

The whole emphasis on MS needs to change

FS should mean any PC Flight Simulator (not flight game)

I still think it's important to differenciate between a serious simulator and a game where no skill is needed to land.

Simulators are intended to simulate real flight and scenery.

Me will have alittle think -- input very welcome.  8-)
