I reckon it would be quite interesting.

A chance for people to show off perhaps.

Maybe a good idea. I have to say seeing the relative lack of new content in both the real aviation and specific aircraft types (which has mostly been in decline for a while now, bar the occasinal "A" v "B" thread, and the even more frequent "Airbus v Boeing" thread!) fora, these could well be merged, leaving room for this fora, which could work quite well.
