I say the "Request for more forums" is getting a bit old!

This is an interesting request, however.

The fact is that while I believe the vast majority of flightsimmers to be English conversant, there are still many who are not comfortable in English.

There are flightsimming forums in other countries, but the major sites flightsim.com, avsim.com, simviation.com cater to the English-conversant flightsimmer community.

Simflight has several non-English flightsimming forums, inlcuding Spanish.  The Spanish forum is largely unattended.

Rather than a new set of "foreign language forums" , maybe make the post in the language desired, with a notation in the subject (or if the subject line is in the foreign language, that would be a good hint)

If there is enough flightsim-speak in a foreign language, then maybe a specific board can be set up.  This would not be a " build and they shall come"  but a "come and we may build" .

The final decision (since he gets to do all the work) would be Pete's.

I have to say that when we've had foreign posters in here (Polish, Spanish, German, French, Hungarian etc) normally one of us has been able to translate the request, get a response and translate the answer. I don't know that there is really a problem as such, we've always done quite well methinks. Just my 2 pence worth....

OK, I will retract my earlier post. It just seems that with all that Pete does here with the various forums, people just can't get enough. I agree with you Felix. This is an international board and many languages are spoken. I know the Simflight network has such options. See here 1/2 way down page:

Sorry for linking the other forum Pete, I am just shedding alittle light.  Me personally think that we all seem to communicate just fine and if there is anybody who has poor English, most can figure out what is trying to be said and many are always eager to help.

Felix really summed it up.

You are free to post in any language & if there is enough interest you will most likely get an answer ... - but remember also  - english is the international 'aviation' language....
