Simviation Forums

Is there any way for the user (i.e. Me) to set it so that all windows open within a single browser window?

Example:  I go to Simviation.com and click Forums.  Bam, a new window.  I go back to SimV and click Downloads.  Bam, a new window.  Utilities.  Bam, a new window.  Search.  Bam, a new window.

More bam's than Emeril Lagassi on crystal meth.

" Bam Bam, Bam Bam Bam "........." Anyone seen Pebbles lately ? "  ;D  

Its Probably more efficient to open every new function in its own browser window Scott....I am only guessing....
......but in my mind, I think that may be quicker than reconfiguring things to allow the different processes which are required for the " next " window that opens, which you have mentioned here ?.....

It's intended for those who wish to access different parts fo the site at one time.
There are people who like to look at the forums & browse the file pages at the same time....
One thing I personally hate on the net is finding I've left the main page where I wanted to be & trying to get back there. I usually click 'open in new window' whenever I browse the net....

Surely it's easy enough to simply close a window if you don't want it?  ;)

I definitely see your point, Pete, and it's a great idea.  I also find myself browsing the forums while I'm looking for a file.  But things like the search page...

If I'm at the beginning of the file libraries, you know, where it says "FS2002 Aircraft", "FS2002 Helicopters", etc... And I click search, that page stays put and a new search window opens.

Then I end up with a few too many windows open.  

While your idea is great mainly, that's one that gets under my skin.  lol

Don't get me wrong, I'd never ever ever suggest that someone go elsewhere unless the file they're looking for isn't on this site, because this is still hands down the best F$ site on the web.

It's something I can now think about & change accordingly if necessary. I think you may be right about the Search not requiring a new window - but say - someone found a new prop - then wanted to search for a panel to go with it... ??

Sure: the site is real good!  8) On the subject of search, could we have a 'google' site search thing?

Sicne I found the site I have just saved some of the pages, such as the homepage of the forums, the download page, and many others in my favorites folder... this usually makes it quicker than typing it in, navigating around and such...
