FSX A330 German Tanker

Postby cdoades » Wed Jan 04, 2017 6:50 pm

I downloaded this file under the military tab for FSX planes. When I went to open the folder to install into the game, there are no files associated with the zip folder.

Install it manually effects contents into fsx effects folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X/effects and A330 MRTT_German Tanker_ Thomas Düssel into C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes fsx in default location yours might be different depending on where you installed it. The contents of the effects folder into the fsx effects folder and the A330 MRTT_German Tanker_ Thomas Düssel folder into fsx airplanes folder, the two folders are inside the A330_German Tanker folder when unzipped.

that's my issue. There is no content inside the folder. I've downloaded it twice now to make sure it wasn't something I was doing. There are no associated files within the zip folder.

The zip file contains these folders

and you also need to copy a few files over from the default Airbus_A321 folder for it to work

There's something odd with that file. If you click on the 'Zip file preview' link nothing shows up.

I get a Network Error message when I try to download it on Chrome. It might be worth trying a different browser.

I used good old fashioned Internet explorer and had no problems downloading this file or opening it with Winzip or WinRAR the contents of the folder are not hidden.

Almost certainly is an issue to do with the tool used to zip it and/or upload it.
I am d/l'ing now and will look and repack/reupload if necessary.

I use firefox/izarc and rarely if ever have any problem with any file.

Edit::

OK -- downloaded/extracted no problem. (didn't try it)

Just as a measure I have rezipped it with izarc and am now reuploading.
