Password Required Notice

Lately, every time I click on Simviation website I always get this Notice Window which states:

Password Required

Please enter the master password for the Software Security Device.

OK Cancel

When I type the password and click OK it takes me to the normal login and allows me to get to the Forum.

I have to do this ever time and it gets a little old after awhile. I didn't use to do this. Any ideas why this is happening?

Does this also happens when you check "remember me"?!

Hi

I suggest you run malwarebytes and maybe more on your system immediately. This has nothing to do with simviation!

If you select to stay logged in you should never have any login.

But 2 logins + software security device? sounds like you have some malware or virus in your system. Also It smells VERY fishy to me -- like someone may be gathering your logins and that can be for serious financial sites like paypal or even a bank.

Treat this seriously.

As Pete says, you may be compromised.

There are two things to worry about;

1 - Have you logged on to ANY financial sites recently?

2 - Even if you haven't, do you use the same password for multiple sites?

Personally, I'd use a different computer to check any sites that you use to make monetary transactions. And then CHANGE THAT PASSWORD.

SIDE NOTES
* PayPal may question your use of a computer other than the one you normally use.
* NEVER ANSWER A PAYPAY EMAIL ASKING FOR CONFIRMATION OF YOUR PASSWORD!

I just received one of those last week with a covenant link to click on after entering my password. It LOOKED VERY REAL too.

Just because the money wasn't touched yet, doesn't mean that someone doesn't have your password. They may wait for you to build up the account.

Hopefully, this is overkill.

I often use the internet to buy stuff. But I highly recommend that you use an account in a bank other than your main account.

Just to make that clear - NOT a different account in the same bank, but a totally different bank.

The last thing that you want, is for someone to empty out your account just before the rent or mortgage is due.

The max that anyone with access to my online debit card info can get is $100. When I want to buy something, I make a deposit that day.

A debit card doesn't give you the same protection that a credit card does, but "they" can't get more than you have in the count.

I removed the master password in Tools/Options. That should take care of it. BTW I just ran Malwarebytes not too long ago.
