Corrupt source file message

Hi All;

I've made several attempts to download a file on page 2 of CFS2 post WW2 Aircraft. The link from the main download works fine, but apparently the source code for the original aircraft is corrupted.

The aircraft I'm trying to download is "TR84.zip. Can somebody help me with this please?

Thanks.

Cheers!

That's odd. I tried downloading the file on two different machines & it works fine for me.

I was also able to d/l it OK -- BUT -- I did get a suspicious file warning about one of the gauges -- F100Airspeed -- so I have removed that gauge and reuploaded it. Usually these are harmless files but knowing other users will get the same problem and say nothing (most simviation users never visit the forums) I have taken the precaution. You may now, however, have a missing airspeed gauge.

Can't overwrite filenames so here is the new filename search

Hi Guys. The aircraft is superb. The missing gauge is a bummer, however. The aircraft does have a 'mach' gauge, but this isn't the greatest thing to be watching when taking off or landing when airspeed can be critical. There are other ways to check airspeed, though......using the hud, etc.

Thanks for the efforts, The aircraft is worth the loss of one gauge for sure.

Cheers :handgestures-salute:

replacing that airspeed gauge should be easy -- let me have a look ....

Edit: I don't have CFS2 installed so couldn't test it but try it now?

:banana-parachute: Well-l-l-l-l-llllll Pete.............no joy. I checked the panel config file and the t33 gauge is there as it is in the gauges folder of the main install. Go figure.

Could it be that the original panel design was wrong in some way? I'm not a designer so any input I provide you will be suspect, I'm afraid. I can swap out the original panel for an F3 panel that is simlar and that works, I can certainly live with that.

Thanks again for your efforts. I think anybody looking to add this aircraft to their stable will be happy just to get it.

Cheers <<q

Maybe that t33 gauge is not compatible with CFS2 ---- all you need to do is find a CFS2 appropriate airspeed gauge and paste it into the panel.cfg ..... (you seem to be competent at installing and putting in another panel -- editing a gauge is only one more step up the ladder (or down to the abyss :character-count: LOL) :P )

Hi Pete;

'Abyss'??? Moi?????? Don't know the meaning of the word....heh-heh. Kinda gets me thinkin' about my ol' Tandy 286 and F14 Fleet Defender.......those were the days, eh? Prob'ly not even good enough to be used as a boat anchor anymore.

Thanks again for your kind advice and help. Ah'm gonna see what I can do.

I'll let you know if I come up with something.

All the best;

:bow-blue:

Eureka!!! We've done it! I also have a Gloster Meteor panel by Phil Perrott that is verrrrry similar. Could be he built both. At any rate I swapped out the t33 gauge for the "meteor_airspeed" gauge and it sits in there like it was made for it......a perfect match!

I'm not too sure if I can upload it here for you or not. If you want it to complete the aircraft, let me know and I'll be happy to send it to you, unless you guys have it here somewhere yourselves.

I'm a busy. busy man (retired, of course.......busy as in havin' way too much fun) so I'll get on wit' t'ings. Let me know about the gauge, Pete.

If you could upload that it would be great -- I can then replace the bad file and no more unhappy (but silently so!) users :)

Thanks for doing this!

Hi Pete. I've zipped it up using jzip........I'm having a problem naming the darned thing so that it will be accepted. The file is called MeteorAirspeedGauge.zip.

Sorry about this. Can you give me a title for it please?

Thanks

Holy doodles, Pete;

I don't know how many times it uploaded but I do know that it uploaded with the title 'gauge'. I am dummer than a bag of hammers when it comes to this stuff.

Sorry about that.

I hope you got it OK.
