TDS Dreamliner 787-8

Postby EVVFCX » Mon Oct 21, 2013 10:25 am

Hi Pete?

I've installed a dreamliner by Chris Evans, even tho they have same title and intended according to the title for FSX, I believ one of them is for FS9/2004.

Reason I suspect is that I didn't get any external texture and that they were bmp and not dds files.
I installed the mega dreamliner lack and that is Ok so it's that reason I suspect one is not for FSX.

regards

Did you edit the aircraft.cfg files in any way? TDS models' aircraft config files' titles are not to be messed around with, as the textures on the aircraft might get affected.

Hi Pete,

I found the by searching for either Thomson or dreamliner, I can't remember which, I think it was the third one down when you do a site search for Thomson.

The aircraft.cfg file was not altered in anyway, I've replaced it with the mega pack download which includes the dreamliner textures for the Dreamliner I flew on recently to cancun.

http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... on&x=0&y=0

The 1st is definitely FSX native models and the 2nd one down is a FS2004 model.

If there is an issue with a file I will look into it but you haven't identified any specific problem.

As always I'm grateful for any reports of a problem with a file. :)

Thanks

Hi Pete,

Because you've said top one is FSX and second is 2004, I've just done the search again and the results are not the same as what I had, the top one is now the same, but the second one I had was slightly different txt description and where the top one is 116Mb the second one was 115mb and both said for FSX so the second one has been removed since I had the problem, this is also mentioned on the main FSX forum section.

Hi Pete,

Yep, lets let this one go to the archives, I have a working dreamliner now.
I also have some pictures of the wings of the dreamliner in flight taken from row 34, the wings on the mega dreamliner are not quite right,

The pressure sensors on the trailing edge, I see about 4 of them on the mega pack, 2 of them keep going away then seem to grow out of the wing then go away again.

The dreamliners wing tip trailing edge looks more like a city window ledge with all those 'needles' to keep birds off, there are loads of em.

I'll upload some pictures to the camera/pictures page.

cheers
