can't connect to download

Postby jgf » Sat Jun 08, 2013 1:21 pm

For a couple of days now I cannot connect to any downloads, I get to "Download this file now", click that and, after a few seconds get:

"Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.simviation.com"

I dug out IE and it tells me:

"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

HI

Can you tell me if this is happening all the time or just occasionally?

Tests show nothing unusual.

Thanks

Still happening. Any file I try to download, same messages. Tried with a download manager (DTA) and it returns a "server error" message.

Hi

You have something on your system that is blocking us.

Press Alt Ctrl Delete to open Task manager and take a look.

It's probably your firewall. Not a bad idea to try disabling it to see if it is the culprit. If it is OK with firewall disabled go into the firewall settings and see if you can allow simviation.

Don't know when this started (haven't downloaded from here for 3-4 months) but it has now stopped. Changed nothing at this end, including firewall (PCTools), but was able to download today. Another computer mystery.
