~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aircraft loads fine, but there are NO MAIN TEXTURES ReCOGNIZED.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I used HexEdit to check both the CFS2 and FS9 MDL files, and the names shown for the main [and "damaged"] textures do not match. Changing the texture file names to the MDL callout does not make them work either.

Other textures DO work, but a grey untextured Fw-190 is just NOT acceptable.

Rather than waste any more time messing with the actual textures [they may be saved in an incompatible format].

Is there a way to contact Mr Farnham and get this fixed ?

Are you wanting this for FS9?

If so, the textures are there, it is a size and format issue....

MAP 1_T.bmp is 1024X2028 24 bit, a size and format FS9 cannot work with.

You must re-size (not crop) MAP 1_T.bmp ( and MAP 1_D.bmp if you want the damage texture) to 1024X1024 and convert it to an extended bitmap. I used DXT3, I would assume DXT1 and 32 bit will also work.

cheers,

Hi JB;

Nope, using it in CFS2.

Tried resizing it tonight to 1024 square, saving as every conceivable format, still have a white fuselage and wings.

Going to run the MDL thru MkMDL and Convert MDL to be sure there are no inconsistencies.

If it still doesn't look good, off to the scrap hangar it goes.

Thanks for the suggestion !

Late Edit: Resizing Did The Trick, but only AFTER I mirrored the Starboard HakenKreuz for proper orientation !!!
